Welcome to my blog. Photography has been my passion for four years and out of my 77 years that’s not terribly long.
My gear in cameras is all Nikon (except for a wonderful Fuji S5 DSLR camera), and most of my lenses are Nikon…but occasionally I get a Sigma, Tamron or Tokina lens.
Because I live in Florida I have a great interest in taking pictures of birds, flowers and wildlife…and living near a few bird sanctuaries makes it easier to get those pictures. We have sun most of the year so I have no excuses about not getting ‘out there’ for pictures.
I’m new to blogging but as I grow in this exercise I hope to find a good theme for my blog. It will all be photography and I’ll use the pictures I take each day and have taken in the past… The one thing I’m eager to do is read the many photography blogs that offer huge amounts of information and expertise…….and I’ve noticed that there is an eagerness to share information and to help other photographers in this blogging world. Thanks for that! I want to be a part of the sharing and learning.

Gaye,
Congratulations on your blog! As always your photographs are lovely and capture so many different details of our world, that are easily overlooked in the business of our day-to-day life. Thanks for sharing your passion with us, and for continuing to find the simply beauty we have all around us.

You do good work. I use nikon also. I ran across your site because I was looking for a white Ibis. To know what one looks like.

WOW, love the pics! The pelicans are wonderful! I am an amateur photographer and have just begun my journey. I bought an Sony Alpha 300 recently and I am just beginning to use it. I am kind of finding out how simple it was to just use my point and shoot digital! The bigger cameras are sure like work!
