Today I visited the Edison Home which was the winter home of Thomas Edison. Henry Ford lived in a house on the estate also. I got some flower pictures but the temperature was almost 100 degrees and very high humidity. At least the sun was out and there was no rain in sight. The best time for pictures is early morning and it doesn’t open until 9AM. That meant that most of the flowers were in full sun by the time i got into the gardens.
I did get an unusual Hibiscus. It’s called ‘Fringed Hibiscus’. Also got another bright orange Hibiscus. I searched for more Hibiscus but didn’t find any today. Here are a few other flowers I did find today.i I hope to go back in the future when it’s cooler.

Gaye,
Beautiful! The beautiful photos of hibiscus flowers in Edison Home and the info as well. I will link it to my next post so that for those readers over here and yours are able to compare the hibiscus flowers from Kuala Lumpur and Florida. Good Work.

Chrisy,
I will go back as soon as the weather cools down or when we have a day that has muted, soft light. Today was just too hot and too bright. Also I want to find more Hibiscus at the Edison Home. I know there are many more. I think the ‘Fringed Hibiscus’ is quite unusual. I’d never seen one before. It hangs upside down like a lantern.
Many thanks!
